Bao Zhong is the most lightly oxidised of Oolong teas. It basically sits halfway between a green and an oolong, bringing with it the freshness of green, but depth and increased fragance of further oxidisation.
Historically, bao zhong's weredistinctively “paper wrapped” and air dried, which is where it's name comes from. However now with airtight preservation techniques, the tea has developed a cleaner, more modern character.
